Some websites need a public side and a private and personalized one.

Most websites are public. Anyone can read them. But the moment you ask users to log in, your website becomes something different. It becomes their account, their dashboard, their personalized space inside your brand.

That's a my.portal: the authenticated environment where your users see their data, manage their relationship with you, and come back to interact again and again.

Patient and user portals

Where users track their personal data over time. Health metrics, treatment plans, lab results, prescriptions, appointment history, secure messaging with providers. Best for healthcare brands, telemedicine platforms, wellness products, longevity services. For full provider-side clinical platforms, see our digital platforms page.

Customer portals

Where your customers log in to manage their account. View orders, track shipments, manage subscriptions, download receipts, update preferences, contact support. The portal that turns a one-time buyer into a returning relationship.

Member portals

Where your members access what their membership grants them. Exclusive content, gated resources, member directories, community features, event registrations, certifications.

Partner and dealer portals

Where your business partners log in to access what they need to sell or service your products. Pricing, technical documentation, training modules, marketing assets, claims and warranty workflows.

The questions buyers ask before signing.

  • What's the difference between a my.portal and a custom platform?

A my.portal is the authenticated layer of your website. Same CMS, same brand, same codebase. A custom platform is standalone software with its own application logic: provider dashboards, back-office tools, multi-role operational systems. If your portal is a "logged-in section of our website," it's a my.portal. If it's a separate product your team operates daily, it's a digital platform.

  • How long does a my.portal take to build?

A focused customer or member portal: 8 to 14 weeks. A more complex portal with deep integrations or multiple user roles: 4 to 6 months. We scope properly before we quote.

  • Can you integrate with our existing user system?

Yes. We integrate with SSO providers (Azure AD, Okta, Auth0, Google Workspace), identity verification (DigID for Dutch services, BankID), and custom authentication systems. If your users already log in somewhere, we connect to it.

  • What about security and compliance?

We architect for the security framework your portal needs. ISO 27001-grade controls baseline. HIPAA for US healthcare portals. GDPR and PHI handling for European healthcare. SOC 2 Type II for enterprise. Audit trails, encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access at the field level.

  • Can users access the portal on mobile?

Always. Every my.portal we build is fully responsive. For some clients we also build native iOS and Android apps that share the same backend, but the web portal is mobile-first by default.

  • Can you take over a portal project from another agency?

Yes. We regularly pick up Craft CMS projects from agencies that have stopped offering development or hit their technical ceiling. Clean handoff, full documentation.

Got a portal project?

We'll tell you straight if we're the right fit, what it'll take, and what it'll cost.
